DIY Baby Gate

Inexpensive and easy homemade baby gate!
Best thing about it, besides being inexpensive, is that you can make it whatever size you want. I have iron railings on my stairs so the gate options in stores where pretty sparse and over $70.
Not to mention more permanent.
I love that I can do this baby gate to match ANY room.
Make it ANY height and length.
Make it attach to ANY type of stair railing.

It's pretty much a giant pillow case sewn around a PVC frame. I went to Lowe's and bought 3  10 foot pipes, had it cut there into 6- 24'' pieces and 8- 22'' pieces which would allow me to make 2 baby gates that were about 45 inches wide and 24 inches high. I even had a little extra for another project. I bough 8 little pipe elbows and 4 "T" pieces. I wanted mine to have a middle pipe so that I would be more sturdy.

Hope that explains it. Good luck on any future tries at this!
